TrustCenter

Trust center platforms compared

Most companies should buy the trust centre that comes with the compliance platform they already pay for. A standalone platform earns its place at high review volume.

If you already pay for a compliance automation platform, start with its trust centre feature: Vanta, Drata and Secureframe all offer one, and it reads from the same evidence you use for your audit. Choose a standalone trust centre platform such as SafeBase, Conveyor or Whistic when review volume is high, when you need deeper request workflows and analytics, or when questionnaire automation is the main need. Choose a hosted page or a managed service when the missing piece is people, not software.

How do we choose?

  1. Check what you already pay for. A trust feature in your compliance platform is the cheapest start.
  2. Count reviews. A few a month is feature territory. Several a week justifies a dedicated platform or a managed service.
  3. Decide if questionnaires are the pain. If yes, weight AI answering and answer libraries heavily.
  4. Check what your buyers use. If key buyers run Whistic or another vendor network, a profile there saves them work.
  5. Ask about Canada. Where the vendor hosts your documents and the viewer logs, and in what currency it bills.

What features actually matter?

  • Logged NDA requests. The one feature every option must have.
  • Approval rules. Auto-approve customers and active prospects.
  • Custom domain. trust.yourcompany.com.
  • Subprocessor change notices. Saves a manual email each time.
  • Export. Your content, library and logs, if you leave.

What do they cost?

Most do not publish prices. Plan with the $7,500 to $50,000 CAD annual band used for compliance platforms until you have a written quote, and check whether it is in US dollars. The cost page adds the running cost that no licence covers.

Common questions

Which trust centre platform is best?

The one attached to the compliance platform you already use, for most companies. A standalone platform wins at high review volume or when questionnaire automation is the priority.

Can we switch trust centre platforms later?

Yes, if you can export your content, answer library and access logs. Ask about export before you sign.
